While they legitimately point out some really radical groups, they also sweep in many others which do not constitute a threat to legitimate government.
This is also a measure of the decreasing Constitutional legitimacy of Government, that such blatant paranoia should abound.

One of the unintended consequences of proclaiming someone to be violent then acting on that proclamation is that the only practical defense might actually be violence.
If We the People are labeled “Domestic Terrorist” long enough and those labels take the form of actions against us, well, we will have nothing to lose but to defend ourselves against those actions and no further labeling can harm us.
