[Video] New Delhi: Foreign Minister SM Krishna today voiced his concern on the safety of the Indian community in the United States to the country's Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton after the shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin. Krishna added that he had suggested some points to Clinton to ease the comfort level of the Indian community. President Barack Obama said that Americans need to do more soul searching to find ways to reduce violence in the wake of the deadly weekend shooting spree at the Gurudwara in Wisconsin that killed five men and one woman. The Wisconsin killings are a tragedy for America because the inexcusable outrage was committed by an American. But violence perpetrated by Sikhs upon other Sikhs has not been, unfortunately, unusual. That violence unfortunately dwarfs this incident. Save a bit of your entirely justifiable outrage for what goes on in India. And while here, do take my advice as a fellow American citizen, and stay out of those "Patel Motels."
As for the “Patel Motels”.... its mostly the White trash Americans who live in those motels not Indians. And I don't see those white trash people being able to afford anything better anytime soon. So those motels will be staying in business for the foreseeable future.
Btw the Ritz-Carlton here in Boston is now owned by Indians... Tata Group ;)
(A) We need their votes. and
(B) It could possibly be construed as racist.
As far as the Wisconsin massacre being a racially motivated hate crime ... why yes it was. Hopefully, this sort of incident shall become rather rarer in our new country than elsewhere.
Aww come on, out with the race card already? You can call me raghead or dothead. Everyone does. I dont mind. Hate Patel Motel....everything goes!
>>Sikhs in the US have regularly been complaining about numerous instances of harassment and racial attacks in US since 9/11.
Thank your beloved news media for not making the distinction clear, since they don’t want to upset the Muslims.
Thinking people know the difference. Low life racists do not. It sucks, but there you have it.
