Precisely. I've been in a discussion with one of my older sons and a niece and nephew online about this. The problem is that too many, but especially young people, equate opposition to homosexual marriage with HATE, because that's what pop culture has taught them. Just about every TV show geared towards young people portrays liberals as the ones who want peace and love, and Christians as those who just want to be hateful because they oppose what the liberals want to do.
There is no logic or reason behind their notions, even though they try to argue that way by saying that CFA is fair game because the owners donate to certain groups. I countered that argument with the fact that there are many major corporations that have foundations created by their owners that donate to causes that I don't like, but I don't think they are haters simply because they have a different political opinion than I do. I do not even attempt to argue on a basis of religion, because that is a non-starter with young people as a whole these days. You have to talk to them where THEY are, or they simply don't listen.
The problem is that too many, but especially young people, equate opposition to homosexual marriage with HATE...It's true. Our society has fallen so far (in my opinion because of 40 years of abortion, the ultimate "HATE"), that young folk have no idea what's Truly right or wrong these days. If they sat back and thought about the relations homosexuals have with one another (the physical part), it should disgust them, but does it? Here's a link I thought was good as it states clearly why homosexuality is bad for your health all around. The health risks of gay sex.
