By BULLETIN, AP REPORTS -
Former congressman Virgil Goode said Tuesday that a judges determination that a Virginia election law is unconstitutional will not affect his candidacy for president.
U.S. District Judge John Gibney on Monday struck down a law that allowed only state residents to circulate petitions to get presidential candidates on the general election ballot.
Ruling in favor of the Libertarian Party of Virginia, Gibney said the restriction severely burdened the partys freedom of speech and is not narrowly tailored to promote a compelling state interest.
Goode, who lives in Rocky Mount and formerly represented the 5th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, is the Constitution Partys presidential candidate in the Nov. 6 election. He said the ruling will have no effect on his candidacy because everyone who has circulated petitions for him has been from Virginia, although he and some petitioners have gone out of state to gather some signatures from voters.
The law, as it stood, was fine with me, Goode said. However, he said that different states have different laws, and he thinks the judge probably looked at that factor in making his ruling.

Now you're accusing Romney of murder?
I guess that Goode's jumping around between Democrat/Independent/Republican and "having the most conservative record of any Democrat" makes him the best guy for the job. Trouble is, he couldn't hold his own seat acouple years ago and he has no name recognition at the national level - face it, he's a spoiler and you guys don't give a flip if Satan himself gets elected just so long as it isn't Romney.
Heard this same kind of crap in '08. Bottom line is Romney is nothing more than Obama light. In '16 this nation will be begging for a conservative.
Wonder how many have realized that by having a Obama - Romney race that this country is now guarnteed to have a non-Christian POTUS for eight consecutive years.
Actually I"m much more concerned with these acolytes of the antichrist in the election, and there are two big ones this time.
But ol'Virg? Ain't no thang.
BTW, with the kind of followers Rombama has he doesn’t have to do his own killing. Things just happen eh.
He's actually our worst candidate possible ~ not even a real Republican, and certainly never a Conservative.
Christian is as Christian does. Bush was a devout Christian (if one belives him) and he set the stage for an Obama. Kennedy was a Roman Catholic, yet he was a horn dog who ran around on his wife. Pelosi calls herself a Christian, yet she is pure evil. Unashamedly Christian is a the desired condition for a President, but it's not a requirement - the government is not a religious institution. I'd prefer an Atheist, who will not impose atheism on us all to a Christian who doesn't act the part.
How.......pithy.....I guess O'Reilly would give you at least a few points for that "argument".
O’Reilly has guards.
So you’re voting for Obama then.
Good luck. We’ll all need it.
Every four years.
Like clockwork.
Were this election genuinely so potentially apocalyptic: the CINOs should have done the responsible thing... step aside, for the good of this nation they claim to so adore... and
NOMINATED.
A.
CONSERVATIVE.
They couldn't be bothered, however... so: can't possibly be all that damned important to them, then.
No matter what they whinny or blubber or snivel to the contrary.
Hopefully enough votes to defeat soetoro.
Hey romneybot (i.e liar), just where in this thread did I say I was voting for Obama?
The romneybots fail to realize that there just isn't that much difference between romney and the punk POTUS. Both are leftist politicians, and I for one wish that the dims get the blame for disaster of the next four years.
Look. You can be as personal and insulting as you will, I guess, But the truth is, if you don’t vote for Romney in the general, or vote for some also ran, than you’re voting for the kenyan by extension.
Please do the right thing. I’m finished with this thread.
