He was merely exercising his First Amendment right to express an opinion Chick-Fil-A disagrees with, wasn't he?

The First Amendment only applies to government action. There is no right to free speech on private property.

The First Amendment only applies to government action.

It doesn’t say “Your employer shall make no law...”.

Tell that to the government.

We've all seen the government trample this and other rights in their desire to suppress good people doing good things. And your answer is to appeal to these rights? We've already lost that battle. And you want a do-over?

I'd ask, "How's that working out for you?" except everyone already knows the answer. Our side was compromised and the battle lost when we started using "free speech" as a license for saying and doing things that ought not be said or done.

We were hoisted by our own petard. We haven't a leg to stand on. We're sliding down the slippery slope and complaining about it all the way.
