I've tried explaining this to people on this site numerous times, but you have a certain class of Freeper that likes to make fun of all CA, presumably so they can feel superior and pretend that the social rot doesn't affect their state because their state is just too cool. Also, non-Californians can't seem to understand the difference between SoCal and NorCal.

Suck it up. California deserves all the ridicule it gets and more. People and freepers always slam Florida and you don’t see me whining like obama. Californi IS responsible for the cultural slide down the liberal rat-hole to at least some degree, nevermind the fiscal cliff they are going to drag the US off of. Ever heard of Hollywood?
