And the days not over yet.
Somewhere, a Burger King ad mans toying with the idea of having The King declare himself 100% pro-life.
@dancathy just called me. #ChickFilA has already set a world record today, with 7 more hrs to go in the West. #OutOfChicken

Not a word about todays activities has been whispered on Chick-fil-As feed even though CFA has been trending on Twitter off and on all day. As noted in the earlier post, the suspicion is that the companys lying low about whats happening in order to extricate itself from the front line of the culture war, but I wonder if todays outpouring will draw some sort of recognition tomorrow. If Dan Cathys willing to tout the numbers to Rick Warren, presumably an official acknowledgment and thank you is on the way.
Theres no shortage of local news stories out there about huge lines at the neighborhood CFA; if youre curious, these two, from Iowa and Kentucky, are fairly representative. Meanwhile, I assume some sort of Unappreciation Day is in the works on the left, if only to respond to such an impressive show of strength, but I dont know. Could be that, between this and the thuggish idiocy of Rahm and Mumbles Menino, theyre ready to cut their losses. Exit question: How big a political victory is this for Huckabee? Per this Fox News clip (via Mediaite), even he sounds surprised.
The method of operation of the left results in normal people feeling ‘alone in the world’. The Media pushes 24/7 propaganda designed to dispirit you (the general sense) and make you feel isolated and afraid.
When an event like this happens eyes are opened. I have seen a number of posts with folks ‘shocked’ to see friends/neighbors there at CFA too.
The left overreached again. This was not supposed to happen yet. It was supposed to be closer to the election so that the ‘disruption’ could be better ‘leveraged’ and the right ‘demonized’ closer to poll day.
People have a 1 week political attention span at most. For some, less. But issues like this, once brought into the light last a looooong time. And now the libs blew it.
This is an election year.
My gut says that Obama’s operatives are probably putting out the word to “back off” until after November....
Bloomberg’s decision not to particpate in the hate Chick Fil-A fest is probably the response the White House wants...for now.
Start singing "Amazing Grace" and other songs about salvation.
Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot.I would not do any business with that kind of screwy place.
Don't troll me again. |
"Up yours to the hate-mongers" works for me. Glad you made it there...
The sodomites are getting too big for their britches. 10 years ago, even 5 years ago, gays would have been laughed out of existence if they tried to raise a fuss over a corporation that was anti-gay marriage. Everyone laughed at the very idea of gay marriage. Nowadays people are intimidated into not saying anything negative about it.
Crowd outside Chick-fil-A in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The local news said all locations of Chick-fil-a estimated that they did double the business today!
You did a good think, Rev Huck!

I doubt that. More like 50 times the business. Double would mean lines half way around the building every day.
It was a LOT more than double.
ROFL! This sounds like a TERRIBLE idea. We need to get as many pix of this as we can to rub America's nose in the fact that THIS is what "gay marriage" is all about!
Here in Iowa we're still working on recalling the judges who passed that abomination in this state.
Godspeed
HoA
I went to the Chick-Fil-A in Clear Lake Shores, Texas twice tonight. From my receipts, at 6:36:01 PM I was ticket number 1058458 after waiting in line for about 1/2 an hour and at 9:16:38 PM I was ticket number 1058806 at a different cash register after waiting in line for about 10 minutes. That makes 348 customers in 2:40:37 after the rate of business had slowed to about 1/3 of what it was at the evening peak. Anecdotally, when I drove by at 3:00PM I saw a line of cars wrapped around the store when normally there would be at most one in the drive through at that time and I heard from friends that it was just as jammed for breakfast and lunch. Their posted hours are 6AM to 10PM. From postings and reports of other locations that I have seen tonight and given that this location is near the fringe of the suburbs and surrounded by other dining choices, I estimate that it was probably typical of the average appreciation day turnout. I don’t know how to estimate from those numbers what the fluctuation during the day would have been or how much greater than their normal traffic this was, but it seems safe to say this location saw at least a thousand or two extra customers (most of whom were families) today. With 1600 stores nationwide, that’s a lot more chicken!
The new meme we should push...
“They just want to love who we love...while you eat...in front of your children”.
I see you’re kind of new here, so it’s understandable that you might not be familiar with our homeless persons short temper.
Just imagine for a moment what it must be like to have to live and post from the same little box day after day.
With answers limited by the small size of your little boxy home, and little boxy space for posts, after awhile you too might start to get short with others.
On 11/6/12 - Eat More Chicken!
You know what would really be great (and shove it to the fags)?
Folks would show up at their CFA and have a coffee and read the Bible, even if the restaurant sold out of food.
Heck, bring the kids and start up a 'kids vs. parents' baseball game in the parking lot.
They’d have better results if they came out against gay marriage, not in favor of it. Libs do boycotts (which never work); conservatives do “buycotts,” which are good for business.
Yes, and the Obama team just saw the election results.
Wow, that was a fantastic music link. Tim Hawkins is great. (and gutsy too) You must be the musicman...hehehe.
