Huntsville YouTube sensation Antoine Dodson is gay, and today he wanted a spicy chicken sandwich for lunch.
As for wading through the crowd at the Chick-fil-A on Whitesburg Drive supporting the company's opposition to gay marriage, Dodson says, "That's what freedom is."
"We don't all have to believe in the same things," Dodson said this afternoon. "We all have our different beliefs and can still come together and still be friends and be cool with each other."
Dodson released a video last week in wake of the uproar over statements made by Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy saying he supported the Biblical definition of marriage -- which is one man, one woman.
He repeated that stance today just before ordering a spicy chicken sandwich with cheese and waffle fries. Dodson stood in a smaller line than the one at noon today that stretched out the door on Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, which called for people who supported the company's position to cater the business today.
"I'm here for supporting the employees," Dodson said. "The gay community is fighting against Chick-fil-A but they're not thinking about where this leaves the employees. So I'm here to be in support of the employees and I'm also coming to get that spicy chicken sandwich."
As for Dodson's stance on gay marriage?
"I never really thought about getting married," he said. "I've been so focused on my career. I never have time to think about marriage. I'm not going to say I'm against it or I'm for it. If it happens, it happens."
This won't be complete until we see the video of Antoine.
I have several gay friends who ate there today. A couple are in Chicago and ate there to protest Rahm’s attack on a private business. Another friend in Arkansas has been posting pictures all week of him eating CFA just to cause trouble I suppose (he is very libertarian).
He deserves credit. Unfortunately his attitude is extremely rare and not shared by many gay advocates or liberals. He is almost the exception which proves the rule.
Here in Indianapolis the local news was reporting from 4 different Chick-Fil-A restaurants that were mobbed with customers.
What impressed me was a number of interviews with black people who support the “biblical view of marriage”.
I think the Baraqqis have screwed themselves on this one.
Hide yo’ kids, hide yo’ spouse...and you can run tell that, homeboy.

Lester Maddox. A Democrat chicken restaurant owner.
I went to that one two times today but I could not get near it for the crowds. At least I tried. I have never seen anything like it.
Amazing. People widely thought this guy was an idiot after he was auto-tuned. Turns out he’s smarter than most elected Democrats.
Go Antoine!
I wonder if they ever found the perp.

I hate rap, BUT I loved that!! It was well done and hilarious.
I am embarrassed to ask, but who are those guys????
The premise that CFA is anti-gay marriage is flawed. THE CFA Corporation, as far as I know, hasn’t taken a stand on the matter (why should it?). The head honcho is anti-gay marriage, but he is not the corporation.
I guess that I am asking for too much when I expect journalists to understand such subtleties.
I have a several gay friends. Luckily most of them are like Antoine and believe in people’s right to express their opinions freely. The militant ones? Well let’s say I still know their contact info, but rarely use it.
Thanks, that’s outstanding.
I forwarded it to all my fellow VRWC members.
God bless you!

Let me guess, both of your friends don’t “Live the Gay Lifestyle” they instead live the american lifestyle and the only difference between then and regular americans is who they prefer to be with under the sheets? They probably understand that homosexuality is a preference in mates and not a lifestyle unto itself.
Am I correct?
You are correct on the two from Chicago. The one from Arkansas though is just the opposite. (the one posting pictures of himself eating CFA all week). He is, as all his friends call him, a "Drama Queen(literally)". Think of a cross between Nathan Lane and Ru Paul. He isn't an activist though, just a big goof.
