The AARP has sold senior citizens out for politics. Somebody needs to tell senior citizens that, under Obamacare, today's Medicare Advantage Plans are tomorrow's Medicaid, with all the stigma, care rationing and medication denial attached.

As I underatand it, Massachusetts is moving toward price controls for health care. The state is hoping to make inflation pretty much illegal within the health care sector and in this way the government will prevent health care costs from rising.

I'm guessing -- call me crazy! -- that this might inhibit the supply of available services. Not to mention blocking any possible advances within the field.

I understand and support state's decisions to try to limit prescription drug use, up to a point. I don't want to see people get sick for lack of medication, but I see no reason why these "beggars" get to be "choosers" as far as having to accept generic medications. There should probably be an appeal process for the limited number of cases where there is a good reason why a name brand drug must be used. Drugs can be expensive, but so are hospital stays.

I disagree strongly with Alabama's decision to not cover psychiatric drugs - lord help us, we have enough crazy people on the streets as it is! Stopping psychiatric drugs is not only a medical issue, but a public safety one.

I was telling someone about a family that took bankruptcy over medical bills for their child who was born sickly and required a lot of medical care to keep him alive.
My lib-in-law commented in the other room that it was a great thing we had 0bamacare now so that these situations wouldn’t happen, no one would have to take bankruptcy over medical bills for a child.

Of course, the answer is that the IPAB wouldn’t have approved of treatment for the newborn, so he would have died. Of course, this would have avoided bankruptcy, now, wouldn’t it?

The private sector( walmart) was starting to come out with $4 prescriptions. Now Obamacare will ruin that. Also eventually we won't get to choose which doctor or doctors we see but will have to wait a long time to see a government doctor. This Obamacare is socialism .
