Cuba hasn't imported any cars from the US since 1959 -- it's amazing how long a car can last if it needs to.

I paid $300 for this Caravan a few weeks ago. Thank God for nostalgic old hippies who remember me living next door as a kid.

Cuba hasn't imported any cars from the US since 1959 -- it's amazing how long a car can last if it needs to. The '40s and '50s vintage cars in Cuba were simple and rugged; many of them have had engines from other parts of the globe swapped in (which the Cuban government was smart enough to allow).
The current crop of vehicles isn't likely to be as easy to keep on the road for 50+ years, nor will *our* Communist regime allow us to even try.

Can’t wait until Cuba is opened to all of us...my first purchase will be a ‘57 Chevy.
Of course, the way it’s going, it will be the Russians buying up these oldie-goldies
