I think Palin was the reason McCain did as well as he did. But I agree that Palin needed more time in higher office.
Of course we have a POSOTUS who had very little background other than as outside agitator. And it shows.

McCain was a terrible pick. Without Palin, McCain's defeat would have been even worse.
