the M1A/M-14s have been pulled out of cosmoline for the sandbox....guess the terrain and people are a bit tougher than back in the 60s/70s. good choice.

Reportedly the bad guys are hiding behind stone walls, thick earthworks or other similar things that the 5.56 can’t punch through or sometimes they’re firing from beyond 5.56 effective range. The 7.62 NATO comes as an unwelcome surprise to those people, apparently.
