Consider the voter characteristics of New York City. 68 percent of New York City's registered voters are Democrats. Bloomberg is one of them. He switched from the Democrat Party to run as a Republican with a net worth of $22 billion. He could afford to outspend any other candidate. With Giuliani's endorsement, his election as a Republican to be New York City's mayor was successful. And he has since been reelected to a third term.

Sometimes democracy is like making sausage . . .

Yeah....my point still stands. There lots of Republicans (more than less) that will vote for anything with an R behind it.

Just because a lot of GOP sheep fell for Romney...doesn’t make a him conservative....nor does it make him a good candidate.

It only makes him the one that the GOPe and the media were most successful at pumping up.

The good news for liberals is that with Romney...they will now own both parties.
