I know someone who had it prescribed to them after major surgery (to help with the messed up sleep cycle). One time he got up in the middle of the night and sharpened knives. Next day there was blood all over his work bench. No memory of it at all.
I took it once, and made the mistake of not being in bed when I took it. All the walls started to warp in a queasy, seasick way. I had to get up in the middle of the night and was so disoriented that I could not figure out where the bedroom door was. Never again.

Another thing about it that ticks me off,,,, i would sleepwalk as a very little kid. Then I outgrew it by age 10. Ambien brought it back, and even though I haven’t taken it for five or six years, I still have episodes of somnambulism. Ambien triggered something that brought it back, and it pisses me off!
