Kerry Kennedy had the powerful sleeping aid Ambien in her system the day she was found slumped over the steering wheel of her SUV on a Westchester road, sources told Newsday Wednesday after reviewing results of the official blood test.

First Patches and now Kerry ... it appears that Ambien has replaced Cutty Sark as the drug of choice for the Kennedy Klan.
What?
They told us last week there was nothing in her blood results.
That’s it. Let her go. Oh, and give her a talk show.
It's a Kennedy. Everything has already been swept way under the rug.
She will not get in ANY trouble over this.
Her uncle killed a girl and got completely away with it.
Not if she can convince one juror (or a Rat DA) that her Ambien prescription was incorrectly labeled as being vitamin pills.
“It’s DUI whether Ambien or alcohol. “
I dunno. I almost burnt down my house whilst somnambulating on Ambien. LEO friends tell me about pulling people over who were under the influence of that crap. They had no clue where they were, or what they were doing. I guess it’s still DUI, but perhaps with extenuating circumstances. Need to talk to her doc, for one thing.
When I was a little kid, I was a sleepwalker. Outgrew it. Ambien brought it right back. There were a lot of things happening around the house that I couldn’t figure out,,, plus weight gain. I was sleep-eating on Ambien. That’s very common. When I figured out what was happening, my doc didn’t believe me. He does now that all the negative effects have been exposed. If you ever, in your life, somnambulated, tell your doc, and don’t take Ambien.
Thank God I never “sleep drove”! Or did I? I have no way of knowing.
Gosh, a sleeping aid that made her sleep? How unexpected!
Imagine being named after Kerry and Kennedy.
No wonder she’s a pill popper.
so the druggie didn’t have a seizure after all.... I am soooo shocked/s
If I was a woman in the Kennedy Klan, I’d spend my life zonked on Ambien too.
Ping
Haha! She made sure she mentioned to the officer the fact that she “might have” mistaken her thyroid medication with Ambien.
I’ve been around a couple of people who used Ambien, as prescribed, for sleep.
Both of them said stuff when under it that was quite out of character and odd and didn’t remember it the next morning. It is, or can be, really psycho active.
One of them, when they talked nuts, I’d asked “did you take your Ambien?” Always, “yes.” Eventually I got them to stop it and they sleep well without it now.
I take Ambien almost every night and I have never had anything weird happen to me.
Oh sure, there was that one time, when all of those 20 year old girls showed up in my hot tub, but I am still convinced that it was nothing more than a coincidence.... besides, I was probably asleep.
Great day alive! I take Ambien at night to sleep, but it does nothing to me, not even a little drowsiness. The pharmacist says druggies love it. I just don’t see it.

now it is former commerce secretary bryson, tiger woods, and kerry kennedy all on ambien for sexual, sleepual, or whatever having car wrecks.
Ambien does seem to be nasty stuff for some people. My wife was only able to sleep a couple of hours nightly so her doctor gave her Ambien to try. It didn’t help her sleeplessness but just one pill made her so dizzy she needed help up the steps and didn’t dare drive for three days.
However, along the lines of the Kennedy situation, it was quite clear to both of us that she should not drive.
Maybe here on earth...but he's paying for it now...
The only way to know for sure is to put a cheap pocket watch on the driveway behind your tire, like Jake Gittes used to do.
She looks like she was made out of left over parts that didn’t quite match. Plus her one eye is off centered quite a bit.

I was thinking about stringing a wire across the hallway, and firing it up with 60 volts, low amps. Might not be a good way to wake me up though!
Another thing about it that ticks me off,,,, i would sleepwalk as a very little kid. Then I outgrew it by age 10. Ambien brought it back, and even though I haven’t taken it for five or six years, I still have episodes of somnambulism. Ambien triggered something that brought it back, and it pisses me off!
Must run in the family. Remember when Patrick Kennedy ran into a barricade by the Capitol?
It doesn’t affect everyone that way. I have needed Ambien to sleep for a few years due to a combination of things and while I do sometimes wake up groggy in the morning, it doesn’t take long for me to shake it off.
Granted, I try not to take it every night, and I only take a few milligrams. I had 10 mg pills for a long time, and would break them up into three pieces and just take one piece.
I had three health factors that combined to keep me from getting a good nights sleep (waking up 5-10 times in a five hour stretch) and taking a small dose of Ambien was enough to get me five hours of relatively uninterrupted sleep. It is a Godsend to me, and I cannot tell you how much it improved the quality of my life, just getting the five hours.
I have knocked down a few of the factors, and have been able to go a few months without it, and only wake up once an hour now without it, and that is manageable.
I have a feeling people who have issues with it fall into one of three categories: First, they take too much. The mentality of “Well, if ONE pill can make me sleep, TWO will do a better job, and THREE will really conk me out”. Secondly, they take it at a time of day they shouldn’t, or take it with alcohol or something else. Thirdly, they might just be one of those people it really does have a bad effect on, even at normal doses.
I suspect the Kennedys who are doing this are both category 1 and 2, as in “I REALLY want to get conked out, so I am going to take 30 mg and have a few highballs. NOBODY will interrupt my sleep tonight.”
She was caught leaving the scene after she drove off interstate 684 at 8:00 AM. What’s she doing taking Ambien in the morning?
I take it sometimes too but only in the evening. It works fine for me.
I don’t know.
Perhaps there is an abuse aspect to Ambien that I have never heard of...maybe people feel really different when they take it in large doses or take it and go through life, and it is something they like.
If that is the case, it kind of gives me the creeps. Who the hell wants to walk around like a zombie? If that is what you are into, why live life?
I have taken Ambien gone to bed and been paged and woken up a short time later, or taken a pill and never made into bed for another couple of hours, but the concept of taking in the morning? Blech.
My wife and I are older and likely more likely to have a strong reaction. The stress she had with her families’ illnesses resolved and normal sleep
patterns returned. I’m sure the vast majority of people have good results. However the impact on her of just one pill was frightening.
Three years ago I was traveling alone between Florida and Tennessee. I stopped for the night at a motel in Georgia off I-95. At the time I had a prescription for Ambien. I took an Ambien and watched TV for a few minutes. I decided I might get a snack remembering there was a Taco Bell down the street. I got some tacos and drove back to the motel where I rammed a pillar outside the motel office. I backed up and rammed it again then suffered a fit of uncontrollable laughter. The next thing I remember was two local cops helping me out of my truck. They were baffled when they gave me a field breathalyzer and it registered zero. I had enough presence of mind to walk them over to my room and show them the bottle of Ambien. They were familiar with the drug and told me not to do any more driving that night. They could have put me in jail. I had to pay about $300 for damage to the pillar which was concrete and stucco. The motel owner and the cops were gracious enough not to make a report. I discontinued the Ambien which resulted in weeks of semi-sleep but eventually things got back to normal.
>I take Ambien at night to sleep, but it does nothing to me, not even a little drowsiness.
>So why do you take it?
I had a girlfriend who used ambien and gave me one once or twice when I was needing to get some sleep and it had no effect on me either as far as making me drowsy or anything but immediately when I closed my eyes for a few seconds I was drifting off. Possibly that is the reason this person takes ambien.
But you don’t understand. As long as you don’t try to go to sleep there’s no effect, at least that’s the way it was for me. The whole reason I am interested in these threads is I don’t understand why people are claiming that these pills are responsible for their behavior unless possibly they are taking handfulls and when you do that there is a different reaction. Also why are they taking these pills (if it really is these pills) when it’s not time to go to sleep?
