While reading the article, I was looking to see if the police found her all tied up but, no, she was freed and turned up at a neighbor's house.

There is only her word that this happened to her by outside attackers. That's why this smells fishy to me

Right, that’s a huge red flag, and I’ll bet the cops already have noted that, just not saying anything until they can be sure. If this does turn out to be a hoax (I’d say there is a 90% chance it is) I hope and pray the outrage will be enormous.
