I don't watch porn either, but this still made me guffaw. Its probably how many people do think about the 'net.

It is amazing at just how many technical innovations and their implementation into common usage have been driven by porn.

And cats.

But mostly porn.

And people think Thomas Edison invented the first electric light bulb. He did not! Not even close! But he improved it, and made it practical. He was also known to be quite an a-hole!

The USAF had SAGE (Semi-Automatic Ground Environment) sectors all over the U.S. I used a grease pencil and piece of tin plastic to run intercepts with fighters on “unknowns”. The SAGE controllers used the largest vacuum tube computer in the world. The diesel engines used to power the air conditioners was as big as a small apartment complex.
