I was just going to comment on why Canada is my educated best-guess as to Barry’s birthplace, and something unrelated to that just popped into my bean...!

About Stanley Ann having a passport in 1960 - In the INS file on Obama, Senior, one of the internal memos - don’t recall offhand its main topic - it’s noted that the subject [Senior] had said his USC [United states Citizen] wife was [at the time of the memo] in the Philippines!

No reason was given, and no further info - date left, date due back, with anyone, etc. - Just mentioned kind of in passing that she was in the Philippines.

I’ve wondered why, and why no mention elsewhere [books, etc.] of such a trip...but... Then all of a sudden just now - Hey, what in sam hill was she doing in the Philippines?

I’ll have to do a bit of digging to find the exact date of the memo - but whatever, it was after the Feb. 1960 “wedding” [Senior had said ‘US citizen wife’] - but would have been [or should have been] well before her baby’s August birth.

I’ve never been on board with the Kenyan birth theory, but yikes! Could she have been on her way to Kenya? By way of the Philippines?

Or might she have been in the Philippines [for whatever reason?!] and gone from there by ship to Vancouver, which would indeed have required a passport.

I’ve never seen anything commented about this Philippines bit - Has anyone else? I’ll bet all the sleuths have gone to bed already.

Found the memo - date nowhere around the Barry-birth-date. [correction to my #721 post: Feb. 1961, not 1960]

To the memo - It’s signed by M.F. McKeon, April 28, 1964.

Starts out: [Barack Hussein Obama] “Appeared 4/21/64 with I-539. file indicated he had been having trouble with [redacted (b)(6)], who has since left the U.S.”

[No indication who Senior was having trouble with - though there were many - young women. He was a serial seducer, a behavior which got him kicked out of the country]

It goes on: “Talked with Miss Frost at Harvard as alien claimed he couldn’t remember where he had worked in the U.S. She said he works on research at Harvard; and that Mr. henry, one of the Harvard officials, intends to talk to subject re his marital situation. Harvard thinks he’s married to someonr in Honolulu, but that he possibly belongs to a tribe where multiple marriages are o.k.”

“After alien stated he was married, HE SAID HE WAS SEPARATED AND THAT THEY MAY GET A DIVORCE. THE WIFE IN THE PHILIPPINES FROM WHOM HE IS SEPARATED IS A U.S.C. [United States Citizen]. Memo on yellow paper in file indicates he had a wife in Kenya when he arrived in U.S. in 1959.”

The 1964 date rules out the Philippines being the leg of trip to anywhere for the Barry-birth. They divorced either in 1964 or 1965. At the time of this memo, he’d been at Harvard for nearly 2 years - and as far as is known, Stanley Ann and Senior hadn’t seen each other since...???....Well, actually, we can only wonder if they spent any time at all together. The same INS file documents that they didn’t live together in Hawaii, and we know she and baby were in Seattle by the time Barry was 3 weeks old. She stayed in Seattle until Senior was gone from Hawaii. Not cuddly newlyweds by a long shot.

Considering the soft-porn photos of Stanley Ann, which have apparently been id’d as having been taken in “photographer-pervert-pedophile-specializing-in-young-girls” Frank Marshall Davis’ living room - I’d peg him as the father, and peg the “bigamy-R-Us Obama as having been paid to provide Stanley Ann [and her parents] the “respectibility” of marriage.

Since the bride and groom/expectant parents were not seen together, and their “marriage” was unknown to his friends, as was the son after his birth - it’s most likely Stanley Ann was shipped off to a home for unwed girls, or to kin her father had in Washington state, and that she delivered in Canada.

She may have been in a Salvation Army home for unwed mothers. In those same INS files on Senior, there is a memo notation in 1961 stating he had informed the INS that “she” [NOT “THEY”] had been talking to the Salvation Army about putting the [not yet born] baby out for adoption.

Obviously, she didn’t go through with that plan. Giving birth in Canada would, however, necessitate a forged birth certificate to fake US citizenship.

What’s interesting about the Canada scenario is that if his Canadian birth certificate does not name the father, he would not have been a US citizen at all, because his mother didn’t meet the criteria to convey. IF he was born in Canada, and has never been naturalized in the US - he’s a Canadian citizen today.

UNLESS he became an Indonesian citizen via Lolo Soetoro, in which case - again - he would have to have been naturalized here to be a US citizen.

That bit about the wife in the Philippines is from an INS memo from April 1964.

"After alien stated he was married, he said he was separated and that they may get a divorce. The wife in the Philippines from whom he is separated is a USC."

This was during the same period Stanley Ann was divorcing him. The following year she would marry Lolo Soetoro, the Indonesian.

To me, there is no doubt he is talking about Stanley Ann because that is the U.S. citizen wife who was divorcing him during this time period.

That he thinks she is in the Philippines would be par for the course for Obama Sr.

One must remember that Obama Sr. could not have cared less about Stanley Ann or what she was doing.

I think sometime in the spring or summer of 1961 he told her to get lost. The reason to my mind is that he probably found out about her and Frank Marshall Davis and realized that maybe the baby was not his after all. So he told her to go away and had absolutely zero interest in her or her baby after that.

For example, consider the August 1961 communications Obama Sr. had with the INS. He told them Stanley Ann was attending Washington State University that semester.

In fact, that's not where she was attending. She was attending the University of Washington.

So Obama Sr. couldn't even be troubled to remember what college she was going to, this woman who supposedly had just given birth to his baby.

Similarly, I think the explanation for the reference to the Philippines probably arises from Stanley Ann telling him in the run-up to the divorce that she was seeing someone from Indonesia (Lolo Soetoro).

Obama Sr., who could not care less about her doings, probably mis-remembered this as the Philippines when talking to the INS about her and may have been under the impression she and her new man were going off to his home country.

I can not seem to remember any discussion like this...sorry.

Since the Obamas do not celebrate his birthday...might it not even be the right day?

I think a total calendar of her travels that previous year and those of other possible fathers would be interesting to compare.

Since they never lived together after a supposed wedding it all seems “off” in timing. The girlfriends account of her not knowing how to care for him at the start of the school year is the only firm date, could it be a cover?
