Joe is always mad. That is why he will never get any traction with this stuff. He comes off as the pissed off guy sitting at the end of the American Legion bar—he’s always right and you could never convince him otherwise.

Sheriff Joe is just fine. He does his job as best he can. He wants to punish crooks and liars and cheats and protect the innocent. He’s very caring and compassionate. He’s not going to come across as a sweet, gentle soul most of the time because he is a strong fighter. Chesty Puller looked p.o’d most of the time, too, but his job wasn’t sitting under an umbrella selling cookies for the Girl Scouts, either.
