This kid had been suspended repeatedly for provoking and initiating fights on the playground, in the hallway, and in the classroom. He was involved with two others who, in the midst of a fight, pushed my substitute down, causing her to break her upper arm last fall. Much of my time during and after school hours was spent on the phone and in meetings with his (and other's) parents. Our school was cited for too many suspensions. BTW, this is fifth grade we're talking about. The fourth grade was every bit as out of control, and the third graders were not much better. The second graders were angels compared to the other grades.
,,,, corpral punishment is a crime . I am 67 yrs. old ,,, if I screwed up in school I would be sent to the principals office and he would take a wooden paddle about 3 feet long with 4 rows of 1/2” dia. holes drilled thru it and apply it vigirously to ones back side . Do you think I would go home and complain to my father about that principals actions ??? Hell no ,,, I’d get it all over again . Political correctness has run a muck and parents are forbidden to touch their “out of control children” along with teachers who have to put up with this crap in school as well . Now the govt. has created a breeding ground for feral youths and claim no responsibility as usual . I also was raised as a Christian with Christian values and we all know how big govt. feels about God . Political correctness run a muck . . .
