Amen to that! I might add that fighting evil with evil never works. It is absolutely true that only a moral/religious population can be truly free. It is their morality that keeps them in check and law abiding. Thus, they don’t require tyrany to suppress them.

But we are no longer such a people - neither are we even capable of standing on a common foundation that liberty requires in order to exist outside of the tyranny of men.
