I’m a very firm believer that respect is earned, not deserved out right.

When folks speak of respect and why one isn’t respecting someone else...I always ask myself...What did they do to earn that respect in the first place?

Sorry if I confuse you with my reasoning, it’s hard to talk with both hands and type with one finger.

You said Y/N would suffice, right?

respect is earned,
***I heard an interesting take on that recently, in church. It is not earned, it is given. You can do all kinds of things to earn respect, and not get it. I have seen this myself, very recently.

There are times in my work situations where I wonder if I should simply say, “would you mind showing me some simple respect?”
