Buddhas of Bamiyan, Destroyed by Taliban

I thought of the destruction of the world famous Buddhas, when I saw this story.

There is absolutely no tolerance for others within some of the Islamic faith.

However, there are others within the Islamic faith of Sufism who are banned in Iran and other countries with less tolerant views. I was at a Sufi wedding where they read from the Bible, Torah, and holy books from Buddhist texts. Of those who are Muslim, this is the only group that has seemed to express some tolerance and its views are banned in many of the “Arab” countries of the Middle East.
