I saw the Bangles in concert at Six Flags Over Texas many years ago. I am so glad they weren't wearing burkas. I liked Susanna Hoffs already, but a couple of the other band members also looked good in person.
There is absolutely no tolerance for others within some of the Islamic faith.
However, there are others within the Islamic faith of Sufism who are banned in Iran and other countries with less tolerant views. I was at a Sufi wedding where they read from the Bible, Torah, and holy books from Buddhist texts. Of those who are Muslim, this is the only group that has seemed to express some tolerance and its views are banned in many of the “Arab” countries of the Middle East.

Have any “reliable” news outlets reported on this yet? I’d like to post this on my Facebook page for my lib (i.e., idiot!) friends, but all I can find is political blogs and right-wing sites reporting on this. And my lib friends won’t even consider any info from anything but the MSM. I went directly to Al Jazeera English but they had nothing. If anyone finds a source on this from a bigger site, like ABC, the Telegraph, NY Slimes, whatever, would you please ping me? Thanks!
