Daytona Beach .. 400 miles .. 43 drivers .. Nascar shrank the air hole and changed the thermostats to make tandem racing less of an issue. We'll see..

Fleabag? Old? I was dipped before our trip I have you know and in human years I’m only 63. In dog years, yicks!

Wild race, at least the last 80 laps. We had a hot time watching it as it hit 94 here today and the heat-pump air-conditioning is on the fritz.

The story about Allmindinger is big news. Trying to figure out what substance was allegedly abused. I hope it was a false positive but if not he can kiss a lucrative career adios.

I think Red Green showed you how to plumb your truck AC into your house using stove pipe. Don’t look behind you as the dog catcher is in your neighborhood.

I hope it was a false positive

After all the Mayfield ruckus, I'd bet Nascar has rock solid basis of evidence.

Agreed.

Lets see if he has his “B” sample tested. If not except major apologies and acknowledgement of the problem. Hopefully...

Freeky pictures of the houses. What is the blue flow coming from that one house?
Is insurance covering all of this?

What a mess.

Both the blue & greenish blue sheets are tarps to protect the hillside from water soaking in and eroding the soil. I think I took these photos on a little turn-out near Manchester CA. on Hwy 1 about 50 miles S of Ft Bragg CA. When the damage happen I don’t know but it looked several years old. It had to be heavy rains as the surf won’t get that high but a good quake coulda caused the slide too.

Nice pics.

I've seen them glue the nuts to the wheels before and I've always wondered that when they slap that wheel on, the studs don't knock off the glued-on nuts.

The studs have to be long enough to catch all the theads of the nut once torqued up.

It’s a meticulous process. First they spray a de-greaser on the wheel and wipe it down then they glue the nuts to the rim. After that it’s the dab on the side of the nut and the metal plate on top until the glue dries.

No, I got that. ...I've been on pit road. ...took the same pics.

How long are the wheel studs that they don't knock the glued-on nuts off when the wheels are slapped on?

It would seem to me if the studs are long enough to make up all the theads of the nut, how do the nuts stay on and don't get knocked off when mounting the wheel & tire?

It almost never happens. ...the studs must be just long enough to make-up the threads of the nut.
