Because the left hates border patrol agents. They see them as the enemy because they go after illegal aliens, who the left love because they supply them the votes they need. I wonder, if the roles were reversed, and Brian Terry were black and liberal, and this had occurred under the Bush Administration, if the left would have been so in a hurry to “move on” from this.
We had an omen of Obama’s disregard for the border agent back at the beginning of his administration when he showed similar disregard for the Cambridge police officer who arrested the black law professor. Most people would’ve thanked the officer for responding so quickly to a report of a break-in. Most people would’ve felt kind of silly after locking themselves out of their own home. Instead, the black law professor got angry and imagined that the officer was racist. And Barack Obama called the police “stupid” before he even knew the facts in the case.
And, of course, Obama is so very concerned about the Secret Service scandal in Colombia. Secret Service agents have been fired. But Bill Clinton behaved a million times worse, and Obama never had a problem with Bubba’s “personal” behavior - even the alleged rape of Juanita Broaddrick. Those Secret Service agents are heroes, but Obama sees them as peasants or meaningless servants. Bill Clinton is a draft-dodging, court-certified liar, but Obama kisses his ass like he does Eric Holder’s and Al Sharpton’s.
