Hear, hear!!

There are those who would have us just “move on”. I'm sorry but the only thing I see in my minds eye today is Arlington National cemetery and it's endless rows of men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to uphold our freedom as laid out in our Constitution. The ruling of one activist judge pisses on the graves of all these heroes and tosses the Constitution they died to defend right into the shredder. If that, as a Conservative, is not something to be apoplectic about, nothing is!

I think I have the answer why the GOP are scared to excerse their power: INDEPENDENTS.

But the thing of it is that the indys are more conservative then giving them credit for.

He was not alone. Everyone on the right thought Roberts was the ultimate pick. Wow were we wrong!

I think everyone on the right believed that W would appoint true strict constructionist to the court, as he promised, and they trusted him during the Roberts appointment, a candidate most knew little about.

Then with the Harriet Myers nomination, people began to trust W a lot less, and that one was ended by an uproar from the right and Alito was nominated, a judge with a track record that could be reviewed.

I’m looking forward to Coulter’s column on yesterday’s Roberts’ decision.

Hello good FRiends. The storm clouds which have been gathering for so long are now upon us, and the deluge is imminent. What is truly so mind-boggling is that so very many of our fellow citizens are still unable to see it. Dark days indeed.

You have to ask what motivates Roberts and what motivated those who chose him be on the bench be it GW or others.

It's not really that complicated - it's just another naked power grab and Roberts was a known, pliable and reliable tool. He merely serves, and has always served, the elite establishment and has this week earned his thirty pieces of silver for services rendered.

BTW, rod, did you get the Belmont Club links I sent to you yesterday? Those discussions and analyses are ongoing and revealing as well.

Agree, rodguy911.

On the “why” Roberts did what he did, it may not be bugging Rush, but it’s really bugging me. His decisions this week made no sense. Maybe Roberts is just that stupid.

Agree again, anti-Hillary, and sadly so.

Rush - In the Arizona decision, the SC somehow found a way to protect Arizona from the consequences of their political choices.

right on, right on, Rush.

Jury is still out but I doubt Roberts is mind numbed as is O’Kardashian. Two Different leagues, imho.

I thought that tri-care, which is what the USA military and their dependents recieve for health care is run by the USA military/government.

Does anyone have a link to what Rush just mentioned, about the military and their healthcare? That Obama wants the payment raised for the military. Thanks.

If I decide float my theory (with “evidence”) in a thread later today, I will ping you.

My only hesitation is that it really doesn’t matter. We were defrauded-—fait accompli.

The greater issue is where we go from here. John Q Public won’t care why Roberts did what he did. How can conservatives best frame this decision to their advantage to incite citizens to vote to throw out the Dums?

I don’t have the same confidence of Buckeye McFrog, who said (post 23), “It’s the last nail in Obama’s political coffin...”

Also Rush, look for more people to bring this back into practice, “civil disobedence”.

My guess is we may have the ammo and the invigoration and be fired up enough to win at this point.Plus I just heard dingy harry on the radio trying to say “obamcare is over, lets move on.” Translation ‘we couldn’t defend this pos if our lives depended on it please let us off the hook’. If we do we deserve to lose.

I can’t say what motivates Roberts but for the presidents who nominate Supreme Court justices I’d say there’s really no sure-fire way to know how they’ll end up ruling down the road. Remeber that Ronald Reagan himself appointed Justices Sandra Day O’Conner and Anthony Kennedy.
