Just got an e-mail from a friend of mine who has cancer. She says she is relieved that they didn’t strike down the healthcare law, because she thinks that otherwise insurance companies could deny her coverage because of her condition.

I don’t know what to respond to her. I might just talk about the weather, instead.

Send her the article that points out that the UK euthanizes 130K people a year. She is a prime target for cost reductions. We are no longer individual persons, we are a commodity to be managed efficiently.
