Courage if not a virtue, but the point at which any virtue is tested -- CS Lewis paraphrase

I truly do appreciate this paraphrase, but would you elaborate on the point you are making - I'm trying to fully understand this.

The point is that to show courage in this situation would be to hold to the oath you swore to yourself and not vote for any RINO, meaning Romney.

My friend, let me tell you that the hardest person to forgive is yourself, and you would be right to hate yourself for betraying yourself after having given your word to yourself. Or, most simply put: you should not put yourself in a position where your conscience will eat you alive.

Don't vote for Romney; vote for someone of whom your conscience will approve. Understanding that Romney is not opposed to Obama on this issue; he is a socialist and his own Romneycare was the forefather of Obamacare. You are left with a Morton's Fork: where both choices lead to the same [bad] outcome -- keeping that in mind, breaking your word sounds like it will bring you only harm, being self-inflicted, yet meaningless, pain.
