To: Stat Man

This may be a silly question, but if the individual mandate is now law and everyone must buy health insurance, why the provision that those up to the age of 26 can remain on their parents insurance? Won’t they have to buy their own now?

No. Some bureaucrat will issue a regulation that the law should be interpreted that the parents (most likely richer than their young kids, therefore evil) are mandated to purchase the insurance for the kids. In other words the “can remain” will be changed to “must remain”.
