I mentioned this a few times, including in the Rush Limbaugh thread. Here's the story: Rush's syndicator Clear Channel/Premiere took the show away from WPHT (owned by CBS), or they pulled away from him.

WWIQ FM 106.9, formerly WKND one of the Harold Camping "Family Radio" stations, launched recently as a conservative talker "IQ 106.9". Hannity, Beck, etc. came aboard. Yesterday was Rush's debut on IQ 106.9. Mark Levin comes aboard on July 2.

“The Rush Limbaugh Show” is leaving the dominant conservative talk radio station in Philadelphia, one of the biggest radio markets in the country.
In its place on the station, WPHT, will go “The Michael Smerconish Show,” hosted by Mr. Smerconish, a native of the city.

EMERGENCY ALERT ANYONE?

Three days a week last week within the first 10 minutes of Rush’s show the automatic Emergency Broadcast System bleats went off(now directly under central federal control).

No content, just the intro beeps and exit beeps. Just enough to mute Rush for a few words.

Heard it again today, but during a break after the Rush show, with “If this were an actual....” verbiage.

Why so many “tests.” It would not surprise me if one of the children in the admin was doing it to jack with Rush.

We had the horrible beeping noise at 10:30 Pacific Time. My husband thought that the security alarm was going off. We get various types of interference, usually timed with Rush saying anything really interesting.

He's laughing his butt off, every time he pushes the activate button, just to aggravate Rush Listeners, knowing they'll NEVER vote for him.
