David Dewhurst, tabbed as the "Establishment" candidate has endorsements from Rick Perry, Mike Huckabee, Michale Reagan, and OTHERS
I don't care what anyone here says... I don't want Dewhurst. I will vote against him.
I'm sick and tired of the establishment.

Nothing in the debate will change my vote.
And I will vote in the run-off.
Ted Cruz's campaign has been pretty much dependent on the grassroots as can be seen by the following chart:
The Numbers Dont Lie: Cruz has Overwhelmingly More Texas Support than Dewhurst
Cruz has 26,688 donations under $100, while Dewhurst has only 11.
Let me know if Dewhurst starts answering questions in Spanish.
I say, I like the cut of Dewhurst’s jib!
/Mitt Romney
Go Ted Go!
I’m wondering whether a certain notorious Dewhurst pom pom girl is going to show up on this thread tonight. I want to ask her what she thinks about that chart in post 4.
For those of us that have to watch it on the internet, here it is.

Ted Cruz will be a great Senator, but first he has to win this primary.
Dewhurst is a dumbass.
From Bill targeting TSA groping in Texas airports dead, key senator says
Less than a day after a dramatic scene in the Texas Senate over a bill to ban intrusive searches from the TSA at airports in Texas, a key state senator said Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst had effectively killed the measure for good.
"He came up with this elaborate political play to kill the bill without his fingerprints," state Sen. Dan Patrick said. "Well, his fingerprints are all over this."
I’m glad I got to see this one as I missed the one before the primary. I will again vote for Cruz.
David Dewhurst is TOAST after tonight’s performance!
He flat out prevaricated on three separate occasions.
1. He lied when he said that he did not kill the sanctuary cities bill.
2. He lied when he said that he did not cave in on the TSA bill.
3. He lied when he said that he never supported a wage tax.
How any Texan could still vote for that guy is beyond me!

Dewhurst comes across almost as dumb as his Buddy Rick Perry did in his Debates. Cruz got off to a slow start but got a helluva lot better as the Debate progressed. Neither did very well on the question of “Deporting Illegals”. Cruz did best. He said we need to enforce the Laws and cut-off Entitlements to Illegals. That’s good. I wish he’d concluded by saying: “If we enforce the Immigration Laws, and cut off the Entitlements, they will self-Deport”. But he didn’t.
Lousy timing for Cruz with the Sandusky news. He needed the attention badly.
If Perry is for Dewhurst, then I’m for Cruz. Talk abut two establishment people; only KBH and the Bushes can top those two.
Dewhurst won the Jimmy Carter Co Generator Lotto.
Wants everyone to think he earned it with his blood sweat and tears.
I have a quarter that thinks he is in the Ethanol market too
