Big big mistake. For one thing, this isn’t an issue for executive privilege and next thing is that Obama has played right into the issue of his much vaunted “transparency.”

This was truly a stupid move on his part.

Along with other restrictions, if the documents do not include Obama then there can be no executive privelege. By exerting executive privelege, Obama has now incriminated himself by saying he was directly involved in these communications.

As we all know, exec. privelege cannot be used to hid criminal activity. We know F&F is a criminal enterprise (murder of Brian Terry, specifically).

By my understanding, the President is now on the hook for authorizing / being more directly involved in Terry’s murder.

—This was truly a stupid move on his part.—

You mean like his infamous “the police acted stupidly” comment about the arrest of the professor, or the “Trayvon looked like he could be my son” comment in the Zimmerman case.

I’ve said for some time that he is either an amateur that is going to go down hard or he is the beast of Revelation and it will take God’s overt intervention. It is looking more and more like the former.

It strikes me that this really isn’t some brilliant chess move. It is desperation amplified by amateurism.
