Swing-voting independents see Barack Obama's plans for the economy negatively rather than positively by 54-38 percent in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, marking the president's challenges as he seeks re-election in still-troubled economic times.

Did we miss anybody? Oh - sorry. How about blacks?
President Barack Obama is rapidly losing support among African-American voters in North Carolina, a new poll out today from the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling shows.
The poll finds that Mitt Romney would get 20 percent of the African-American vote if the election were held today, compared with 76 percent for Obama. Overall, Romney has a 48 percent to 46 percent lead on Obama in the crucial swing state.

Obama’s Jewish Support Drops 22 Points in New York
EXCERPT:
President Obama’s support among Jewish voters in the state of New York has dropped 22 percentage points in only a month, according to the results of a just released poll.
The poll, conducted by Siena College, finds that currently President Obama has the support of 51 percent of Jewish voters, while 43 percent are opposed to him.
Five percent are undecided. That means, Obama’s lead among Jewish voters is at 8 percentage points.
Previously, in Siena’s May poll, Obama had the support 62 percent of Jewish New Yorkers, while 32 percent opposed him. That means, last month, Obama’s lead among this group of voters was at a strong 30 percentage points.
Obama wo't be living in the White House
Yep
The real downfall of this nation is the White Liberal and knee jerk white democrat voter
I am always amazed at the 47 percent who still approve. With that many lost souls, one wonders how this country will survive.
Obama wo't be living in the White House
But Hillary! might be. That what scares me about a too-early collapse of the Obama campaign.
But I can't see Obama willingly stepping down. Narcissists don't do that.
An incumbent sitting at less than 50% of likely voters is in serious trouble. Sitting at less than 50% with registered voters? That's political death.
The bottom line is that this presidency is an abject failure and will end up on the trash heap of history.
Now the thing to do is to start running TV ads like CRAZY splicing in videos of His High Holiness The Great Obama embracing, high-fiving, kissing, power fist greeting various Senators and Congressmen of the Democrap Party who are in borderline, close races this year. Tie them shamelessly one and all into this individual Obama, the Destroyer, across the board. They will run from him as far as they can. But keep tying them to him, so that not only is Obongo kicked out of the White House, SCORES OF DEMOCRATIC SEATS IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE that are able to flip into GOP control due to anti-Obama nationwide sentiment, can do so.
Obama is either smart enough to realize this and wants out, or he is too stupid to realize it! I say it's both.
Obama is not cut out for what it takes and everyone knows it now, especially liberals! Obama's words and actions are even beyond Carter stupidity! Willfully self-deceptive.
—If it gets any worse, they might call for a suicide watch on David Axelrod. —
HAHAHA!
I’ve said for about 8 months now that the SS probably has Obama on suicide watch and keeps Michelle away from sharp objects. ;-)
I don’t expect Obama to finish his term and more and more I expect it to be due to a mental breakdown, possibly in public.
—But I can’t see Obama willingly stepping down. Narcissists don’t do that.—
I agree. He’ll push it, and himself, right to the edge of the cliff.
—Obama is not cut out for what it takes and everyone knows it now, especially liberals!—
I would agree but would amend the last part to say “thinking” liberals. I’ve sparred with both kinds on the internet and I am seeing that. Some are just soaked in the cool aid, but others see him for what he is and are not happy about it.
And he can take the curtains with him.
The Blacks are going to stay home which is a bigger problem. The unions may not even stuff the ballot box.
Pray for America
As am I. This would seem to me, and I will try to be as unbiased as possible here, one of those elections where the incumbant should get around 40%. Who knows...when it all shakes out and his base is so demoralized by Nov...it may shake out that way....but I am surprised that an incumbant with this record has any support. Just goes to show you how truly far we have fallen as a nation. When you tell others they can't sing God bless America/The USA...then God will eventually say: "OK...have it your way."
Sill having “a bad week”, Hussein?
I find that very hard to believe. Blacks didn't vote for him because they liked his policies; similarly, they won't vote against him because they dislike his policies,.
You are SO correct. I suspect the Stoopid Party won’t find the stones to pull the trigger, though.
Most of the people I know who supported Hussein still do, and when they have nothing good to say about him, just double down against Republicans.
“WTF Wisconsin?” was all one Hussein Head I know could say a couple weeks ago.
All they know is “Republican BAD, Democrat GOOD”, and a few “setbacks” for their messiah isn’t going to change that.
That’s called strategy and the GOP has no clue on how to execute it....BUT I like your thinking. Makes perfect sense.
Dick Morris predicted a massive defeat for “the one” many months ago. Maybe he was right.
What percentage of people rely on the govt. for their means of living ?
What percentage of registered voters do the same ?
What percentage of likely voters do the same ?
All we can hope for is hispanic voters continue to increase their taxable incomes so that they see the light. They are becoming the demographic block that will swing future elections.
Yeah, I agree... As thrilled as I will be to see Obama defeated (hopefully), the mere fact that nearly half the country supports these policies, just tells us we are on borrowed time as a Nation
All these nitwits will vote for this loser - they may be unhappy with the Idiot in Chief, but when it comes time, they will punch the card for the Idiot.
This frantic fund raising by obuma must be taking its toll. Several days lately he has had as many as 6 fundraisers per day. That has to be draining both physically and mentally. Then when he hears that he was out raised by Romney it must really rock him.
Comment for National Journal...
I live in a predominatly Dem district that supported Obama in 2008. I do not know one Dem who will be voting for him again in this election. The question facing the majority of Dems in my district is do they vote for Romney or do they stay home on election day.
Others were going to hold there nose and vote OBAMA
I like the “public breakdown” possibility. It would make for some great video for years to come. I’d play it over and over for my loser relatives who are so LIB that it is disgusting.
oh to be a fly on the wall at Democrat Headquarters today...
PREMATURE.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY TOO SOON.
This should be happening in September/October—NOT NOW!!!
The Dhimmis have a chance to replace O—ant it’ll be Hillary if we don’t SHUT UP.
I agree. My biggest fear is Bambi will be “forced” to pull a LBJ. Then it’s Hillary. Bambi will have to be “forced”. I agree he will never step down on his own.
-—I am always amazed at the 47 percent who still approve. With that many lost souls, one wonders how this country will survive.——
Terrifying. And I can’t imagine a worse, electable president.
I am encouraged at the polling results, however my real concern is that how does this translate to the electoral college? He needs 270 to get re-elected and he still has comfortable lead in the polls of the big EV states.
In theory, could he not get re-elected carrying fewer states then Romney but have more EV?
Oxymoron
.
Dont believe for one minute 47% of americans approve, that’s bunk
Obama has a popular election MAX of 42-43% of the vote, and thats if he runs a flawless campaign.. and his campaign has been anything but flawless.
This guy doesn’t get it, he doesn’t know how to campaign, he’s a neophite.
He knows how to read a teleprompter, that’s it... he doesn’t know how to campaign... Just watch him, its a disaster. His campaign, and what he says is never a matter of “voters aren’t buying it” its always “If I just explain it better”... and that’s a fools errand.
He’s out there criticizing romney for having a campaign that could fit on a tweet as though that’s a bad thing... the reality is, and anyone in marketing of anything can tell you, you better have an elevator pitch... ANd Obama has none.. and isn’t likely to get one..
His “Slogan” of FORWARD is a joke, hes out there trying to play professor as though the electorate is just too stupid to see the economy is a wreck and his policies have helped that along immensely... if only they would listen to him play more games with words and his dissertation.
This guys a DISASTER of a politician, he’s never built a political base, or consensus in his life.. he got handed his positions and rode anti-bush/anti-cliton to the white house, he didn’t do it buy building up anything meaningful beneath him. He’s got no foundation.
Once in power he ran roughshod over everyone when he could, and when he had to face opposition, he basically became effectively neutured. Bill Clinton for all his failings was a very good politician, this guy is beyond amateur hour.
Honestly I don’t think he’ll hit 40% of the popular vote on election day.
Yes, the EC breakdown will not be the 49-1 that Regans re-election is, because of the population distribution... and yes there is statistically a possibility that you could lose the popular vote by a significant margin and still hold the EC, and if I were Obama I’d try for this game, because honestly he has ZERO chance at the popular vote...
HOWEVER< Obama isn’t close to even pulling that off.
Republicans gain 6 EC votes out of the gate, thanks to the last census. Obama is toast, he’s lost the rust belt, he’s alienated the blue dogs, which means the only southern state he has even the most remote chance of holding is VA, and that’s not likely.. NC, FL will not go blue. But more importantly he’s lost the RUST BELT thanks to that.
WI, IA, IN, OH are lost to him, and MI and PA most likely as well.
The only Rust Belt states I think he has any prayer of holding are MN and IL...
And if he loses either of those states, you will see new england states fall as well.
NH will go red as well.
Obama is not going to be remotely close enough on election day to win the EC but lose the popular vote.. hes going to lose by 12-15 points at least.

He’s not leaveing folks, his EGO will never let him walk away.. let alone have to walk away for a Clinton.
Remeber “He is the President”.. as he likes to remind anyone who doesn’t step and fetch for his little dog and pony show.
You grossly underestimate this guys megalomania if you think he’s stepping aside. Impeachment is the only way he’s gone before election day.
Thanks for the reply and the analysis. I hope you are right. I am always wary of either the Dems shady tactics or the Repub candidate’s failure to execute. Either or both could be trouble. Although, I have to say, that compared to McCain, Romney has been pretty nimble in going after Obama. We’ll see if he can keep it up.
Liberals are not dumb they are morally and principally unwise and ignorantly selfish. These are the ones who you might be able to speak with, liberals who have some intellectual honesty.
Forget it if you run across an arrogantly pious liberal prick, like Pelosi or almost anyone from PMSNBC.
I believe he's right about once a decade, so maybe it's about time for his to come around again.
But Hillary! might be. That what scares me about a too-early collapse of the Obama campaign.
It's a never ending source of amazement (and amusement) to me that so many people are terrified of The Return of The Hildabeast.
A. She'll be 71 in 2016. That's older than Reagan was in 1979.
B. Appearance-wise, she seems to have aged a full decade since 2008, which plays badly in national elections.
C. She'd be crazy to step in now and inherit Zero's mess. No Democrat will.
D. She has said repeatedly that she has no desire to seek higher office.
E. Unlike terrified Freepers, she understands that black Dems are going to revolt against the party if anyone tries to replace Zero in 2012.
In short, Hillary knows that her last window of opportunity passed in 2008. America simply isn't going to elect a woman who's old enough to be a great grandmother in 2016. Especially when that woman's politics are identical to the guy who's just brought the nation to the brink of total collapse.
I agree with your comments.
But Hildabeast will be 69 by election day 2016, not 71.
October 47 birthday
Hillary Rodham Clinton, born October 26, 1947.
You're right. I've been relying on widespread comments that she's now 67.
Makes no difference. Hillary is worn out. Maybe even beyond her years. I can only imagine what another four years are going to do to her. The US presidency is no place for a senior citizen. That job requires almost superhuman stamina to do.
I know you mean no harm but our Secret Service should never be abbreviated to "SS". Reason being is "SS" shall always be associated with the Nazi police state.
I had a dream not too long ago where it was election night, my wife and I were watching the results come in on the TV (and I was trying to get Free Republic to load on my laptop). Flashed on the screen was that Romney had 74.22% of the popular vote.
For some reason, the number 74.22% has been stuck in my head. Wouldn't it be wild if Obama's opponent came in at that number! I would be laughing my head off all the way to Thanksgiving weekend.
