Popcorn? Popcorn is a grain. It's pretty darn harmless.

Of course, what they really don't like is butter and salt, and they see popcorn as a vehicle for butter and salt. But if you go down that road, you can ban anything at all, because the harmless thing (which must be banned!) can almost always be associated with something else (which we already know is evil! evil! evil!)

The popping oil is another big problem. They’re banning the coconut oil, which is what makes popcorn smell so good in the theaters, and allows you to reheat it a week later and retain the butter and salt flavor. It doesn’t leach-out of the popped kernels.

According to Adkins, the popcorn is the problem. The butter and salt, (yes, salt) is harmless. They have studies to prove this, too.
