Bogalusa gas station at center of protest. Witness account of Guardsman's treatment prompts picket; Owner claims misunderstanding
BOGALUSA, La. - Dozens of protesters gathered outside a gas station near Bogalusa on Thursday to voice their outrage over what they consider an insult to Americans in uniform.
Exactly what happened to spark the furor isn't clear.
The protest followed a fast-moving campaign on social media that spread the word about a member of the National Guard who was reportedly refused service at the station. The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that some sort of dispute did take place, but the office did not have details and no report was filed.
By late afternoon, a crowd of about two-dozen people - some with signs, others with flags - had formed at the Texaco station. It doubled in size as dusk approached.
Deputies from the sheriff's office kept watch over the situation, which remained orderly.

The owner says there was a “misunderstanding” without ever giving any detail on what the “misunderstanding” was. I’ll guess she misunderstood how upset people there would get over any disrespect shown a serviceman.
Smells like Bogalusa at that store.
“The guy behind the counter told him they didn’t serve his kind.”
That explains it.
Somebody’s pig get stolen?
Supposedly this altercation has reached a resolution if accepted by all the protestors. There is also a party planned tomorrow given by the Station owners in a effort to make amends.
Video of resolution talk with protestors and station owner.
Oh, it's the old, "Language barrier" excuse when the greedy foreigners started seeing profits were being affected.
Is there a gas station, fast food slop joint or greedy mart this isn't owned by foreigners in today's America?
Thank you all for the updated information on this

The Bogalusa Wont Serve The Military Gas Station Kerfuffle
Saying “We don’t serve your kind here” would be a strange thing to say to someone in uniform.
I was hoping a follow-up story would be that this store is now boarded up.
