Conservative Schindler’s List Producer Censored From Addressing Students at Graduation (update)
Gateway Pundit ^ | June 9,2012 | Rachel Pulask

Oscar winner, former Marine and co-producer of “Schindler’s List”, Gerald Molen, was recently asked to give a commencement speech to a graduating high school class in Montana. Upon arriving to the graduation, Gerald was told he would not be allowed to give his speech to the class because he was a “right wing conservative”. Hollywood Reporter has more:

Molen is one of those rare conservatives in Hollywood (he’s even making a documentary called 2016, based on the Dinesh D’Souza book The Roots of Obama’s Rage) and because of that, he says, Ronan High School principal Tom Stack decided to disinvite him — and he didn’t tell him so until after Molen made the 90-minute drive from his home in Bigfork, Mont.

In an update, the superintendent informed HR that the principle had been fired:

The incident as described by Molen “did, in fact, occur,” superintendent of schools for the Ronan district Andy Holmlund told The Hollywood Reporter on Friday.

“It is my understanding that the high-school principal made the decision based on his point of view. It is not the view of the district. That’s not the expectations that the district maintains. That principal will not be serving in this school district for the upcoming school year.”

Free speech for me, not for thee.

The school should have taken this opportunity to teach the kids about the commodities market...tar and feathers.

Classic liberal totalitarian attitude of censoring those you disagree with. At least the Superintendent of Schools fired this principal with the communist mindset. That he was allowed to do this in the first place is frustrating. Gerald Molen should have raised a stink the moment he learned that this arrogant school principal ‘dis-invited’ him to speak. What an embarrassment for the school but it is a good public demonstration of how leftists operate. Censorship is their natural reaction to anyone that doesn’t share their political views. We know that but most Americans do not - yet.

Probably fired with full pay, health benefits and nice retirement when he/she turns 50?

We are playing Russian Roulett with ourselves when we continue to send our children to public schools. You cannot possibly think it is safe sending impressionable young minds into the clutches of commie union teachers. What were we thinking?

Unless we purge ourselves of public education the swings of the the political pendulum will continue to swing further to the left each time the public forgets how vile these communist progressives are.

You cannot fix what is wrong with the USA until you eliminate public schools in their current form.

Yep, that's what's necessary.

There is an important lesson to the IDIOTS on this site that still send their kids to public schools (rather than take the lifestyle hit to educate their kids properly).

Basically, no public school is SAFE, anywhere in this country. The people that run them are like this principal - they are flaming left-wingers and they are EVERYWHERE...including Nebraska, and in this case, Montana. Send your kids there...and you WILL pay the price, and so will they (of course).

The reason this is news is because the principal got ‘removed’, which probably means he was transferred to another school with less informed parents. Needless to say, his replacement will, of course, be of the same breed.

I honestly doubt that it was just the principal. Afterall the principal presumably had something to do with inviting him. But someone got to them after they did so. Who?

It’s not just “censorship.” It’s a clear violation of the First Amendment. It’s one thing for the media to self-censor themselves, but a public school is subject to the First Amendment. They can’t just ban someone because they don’t like their views.

What this article doesn’t emphasize is that he worked very close and is still friends with Steven Spielberg.

There was an article about 6 months ago when he told Spielberg that he was going to spread his message around. Spielberg didn’t interfere.

Guess the school missed that in the Hollywood Underground Tattler.

Bingo. The public school system is a primary root cause of why we have a stupid electorate, which elects stupid lefty pols who make stupid lefty laws.

Many conservatives - many right here on FR - are in complete denial of this.

Many of us are under the illusion that we can elect our way our of our problems, but unless we address the fundamentals - like education and breakdown of the family - no long-term changes in our downward spiral will occur.

"That principal will not be serving in this school district for the upcoming school year.”

My bet is that this goofball hasn't been fired at all. He was just moved someplace inconspicuous until things blow over then he will go right back to pumping his leftist drivel into our kids heads.
