Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush sure looks like a politician who is not running for office. In a wide ranging interview with Charlie Rose for "CBS This Morning," Bush offered some light praise for President Obama and said he thinks Republicans should be willing to raise revenue to get the deficit down.
The brother of the Mr. Obama's predecessor noted that Mr. Obama had chosen the head of the Chicago public school system, Arne Duncan, as his education secretary and they had worked to focus more on school children and less on the adults running the schools.
"Any time an elected official in the world we're in today that appears so dysfunctional challenges a core constituency not of their opponent but of their own political base, I think we should pause and give them credit," Bush said.
Jeb Bush on VP: "Under no circumstances" Jeb Bush: W wasn't stubborn, but "determinded"
The comments came after Rose pointed to comments Bush had made in April praising Duncan and saying the Obama administration had done "a pretty good job" on education policy.
That was a "pretty articulate quote. Are you sure it was mine?" Bush joked to Rose when presented with the earlier comments.

The Bushes constitute a third party IMHO.
Bill Clinton giveth, Jeb Bush taketh away.
Even if the 'core constituency' is morally correct and the politician challenging them is not, apparently.
According to Brother Jeb.
This is the point of view of an out-of-touch elitist who has forgotten that elected officials are appointed to represent their constituents' interests.
No more Bushes.
There is a reason why Republican groups around the country hold “Lincoln-Reagan” dinners; you don’t see any “Bush” dinners (father or sons) and you undoubtedly won’t.
Ya don’t suppose Jeb is gonna cut romney off at the knees, like romney did to Mclame, so he can runn for President in 2016?
Although, Jesse stays in the bushes, and not with his wife.
Dat white women taste good, doesn't she Jesse?
Sorry.
5.56mm
and you undoubtedly wont.
And NEVER WILL.
It’s bad enough the Navy named an aircraft carrier after
Bush 41. Reagan had one, so I guess Bush41 thought he was Reagan.
A one termer President should NEVER get anything named after him.
“Through 1944, he flew 58 combat missions for which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross, three Air Medals, and the Presidential Unit Citation awarded to San Jacinto.”
Daddy Bush was a decorated war hero.
Ok, He was a war hero. So was John McCain.
And so were hundreds or thousands.
That does not make them good politicians.
Nor does it make them deserving of having a aircraft carrier
named after them.
Reagan wasn’t a “war hero”.
Concur
The Bush name is toast. Not just among the left but on the right as well. They are all repulsive and IMHO always have been.
So was my daddy, but no one named an aircraft carrier after him.
Jeb Bush needs to stay out of the news.
He was also the POTUS, VP for two terms, Director of the CIA, Liason to PRC, Ambassador to the UN, and a US House Rep.
Daddy Bush was the first one I heard say “New World Order”.
And didn’t he bring Agenda 21 to America, by saying he would implement it into all his policies or something like that???
He’s a globalist and I didn’t care for him as POTUS. I was just pointing out to another poster who said he shouldn’t have an aircraft carrier named after him.
Jeb! Go away.
