Top lawmakers, like Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), among others, have come out in support of the treaty, claiming it could be a much-needed check on an increasingly aggressive Chinese military in areas like the South China Sea.

The only real check to an aggressive Chinese military is a strong US military. This treaty would be as effictive as a restraining order against an abusive spouse.

LOST would only be as effective at keeping China’s Navy in check, as it has been in keeping Iran’s nuclear aspirations in check.

Besides, whatever keeps China’s Navy in check related to the U. N., will also be used to keep the United States’ Navy in check.
