It’s going to take A LOT of hard work and effort for the next president to even BEGIN to restore the office to what it once was. 0bama has so cheapened and trivialized the office, I’m honestly ashamed. It’s difficult to appreciate the combined damage done by Bill Clinton and 0bama, though 0bama was a big step down from Clinton(that’s pretty damn bad). I don’t see Romney as having the leadership to turn it around. At best, he’ll be a liberal ‘manager’ type as Bush was. No matter what happens, we’re gonna be waiting awhile.
I know it has been beaten to death, but we REALLY could use another Reagan right now. I’m at least glad I could have him in office while I was a child growing up, being able to see what a REAL president is.
I agree, but there's a chance that the legislature will be able to push Romney in the right direction. I think getting rid of Lugar and other RINOs will have sent a message, and we'll have a few more Tea Partiers in those seats after the election.
Perhaps the executive branch could be led to do the right things by the legislative branch and the will of the people?
