Long-sealed Watergate documents may be released

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Department of Justice says at least some materials sealed as part of the court case against seven men involved in the 1972 Watergate burglary should be released.
The agency responded Friday to a request by a Texas history professor who is seeking access to materials he believes could help answer lingering questions about the burglary that led to President Richard Nixon's resignation.
Luke Nichter of Texas A&M University-Central Texas in Killeen, Texas, wrote the chief judge of the federal court in Washington to ask that potentially hundreds of pages of documents be unsealed. The judge said in a letter made public earlier this year that the professor had "raised a very legitimate question" about whether the material should remain sealed, and he ordered the Department of Justice to respond with any objections.
Justice attorney Elizabeth Shapiro wrote in a court document filed Friday that the office would not oppose the release of at least some documents.

Yep - I wonder how that era would have been different if there had been an alternate media like we have today. NO ONE questioned or checked anything that Woodward and Bernstein reported, so we may never know if there was a Dan Rather moment in that entire scandal.
Under normal circumstances I think it would interesting to see what documents was sealed....but under this corrupt DOJ nothing is normal and who knows what distraction and other crap will be released to make political hay....

The DEM party was trying to blackmail members of the Republican party. Supposedly they had some 'incriminating' photographs (could it have been some Republican bigwig with a COLOMBIAN HOOKER? ( Nah, stuff like that never happens, right?) stored in a safe in a room at the Watergate Hotel.
The REP party (campaign manager) needed to know if it was true, and who it was.
So... they had some 'plumbers' (known usually as government 'operatives') break in to get the photos.
There were no photos, it was all a wild goose chase designed to catch the 'burglars' in the act, and use it against the Republican Party Candidate(Nixon).
It worked.
But...they didn't. It was a ruse and the Republican party leaders fell for it.
The Repubs were no angels, but compared to what the DEMS were actually DOING and GETTING AWAY with, the 'DEAN' connection was nothing. I mean, he ended up marrying her.
Now, let's turn to the DEMS parties, with underage boys provided for sexual pleasure from the Omaha Boy's Town and by a man named FRANKLIN.

Even if a bunch of Kennedy assassins got together for a night on the town, and a little breaking and entering thrill, it is nothing compared to the government corruption “Fast and Furious,” and the coverup by Holder Obama and Neapolitan.

Will this be done so that questions that may come up about The Won in connection with whatever scandal is about to break wide open can be answered with a deflection such as "not nearly as bad as what was done in Watergate"?

I think there is a good possibility that Colby was killed because of the Franklin Cover Up
btw, maybe you don’t know this..but Franklin involved Republicans- including at least one victim identifying Bush as being at the get togethers.

You see, when you have the power to fulfill your whims, soon you become bored with 'normal' things. Women throng to powerful men, so it is easy for them. Then... they desire what is forbidden, because only that gives them 'pleasure'.
That is why those who become very 'wealthy' and 'famous' usually end up dead. Money and fame lose their lustre. Onwards and downwards to drugs and 'prohibited' acts of lust, they go.
Politicians have more ability to keep their 'acts' suppressed than Hollywood Celebrities, so mostly we only hear about it happening to the Celebs.
And he wasn't the only one.
There is a video on Yotube about this scandal. It was originally scheduled to air on a network but was pulled before it could air. Very disturbing material.
It is very possible he was there. BUT... was he participating in the 'back room activities'?
Was he aware of what was going on?
Who knows. I would suggests that he just kept his nose out of it.
I think that the 'powerful' officials have been doing this kind of thing for longer than the US has been a country.
One question is 'why'?

It’s been awhile since I looked into this. IIRC, there were both male and females that claimed Bush was there at various times.
There were links to CIA/Contras through Larry King.
I think it is not so much that Bush was participating in the sexual activities. It’s that it was a CIA project...involving mind control , drug mules, prostitution, etc. etc. etc....
Corey Feldman said that using kids is prevalent in Hollywood. Melissa Gilbert said it was known that Feldman was being used for sex.
I do not think such goings on were limited to Hollywood and Catholic Priests.
It’s not just rumor. Former CIA Director Colby provided information. Tthe lawyer for one of the victims indicated that the project was to create multiple personalities in the victims so that they could be used for whatever the CIA/Military needed.

Just realized that the main player in the Franklin Cover Up
was a chief assistant to Colby in Operation Phoenix/Vietnam.
This ties in with Obama since Colby said Indonesia had a similar program. East-West was a training ground for Operation Phoenix.
Lolo Soetoro was likely being used the same way when he had to go back for the change in the regime.
There were RUMERS that Obama was blackmailing one of IN Senators. Because of Lugar’s behavior folks thought it was him....then Bayh steps down....Were either of them involved?

I just read some opinions that Colby got killed to protect the Clintons over a scandal that was about to break.
