The more important M Factor at work here is Mean-spiritedness. . . . Are members of the public service unions Walker has been bashing so successfully wallowing in luxury at the public’s expense? Of course not. These union members have simply enjoyed, through the process of collective bargaining, a traditional American standard of living no longer accessible to so many others.

That's right. Walker has turned the entire state into a bunch of meanies who don't want those poor public workers to enjoy a middle class lifestyle. What a crock.

The Walker mean-spirited pitch? These union people are getting something you don’t have. I won’t make your own lives better, but you’ll at least feel better if state employers can be brought down, that the unions protecting rights and perks you no longer have protected can be undermined.

Similar billionaire underwritten mean-spirited politics is at work in other realms like with food stamps and Medicaid. Why should others get free food when you work so hard to buy food for your your own family, just because these others are so poor? Why should others get free health care with Medicaid when your own health care costs are so high, just because these others are so poor?

Hey Silverstein, you ignorant sack of sh!t, you apparently fail to realize that the problem isn't that we want to bring these leeches down because we're "mean," it's that the THEY ARE SUCKING US DRY AND BRINING US DOWN, AND WE ARE SICK OF IT AND ILK SUCH AS YOU WHO CLEARLY THINK WE'RE "MEAN" JUST BECAUSE WE ARE SICK OF HAVING TWO DAYS OF OUR LIVES EVERY WEEK LEECHED AWAY TO PAY FOR OTHERS UNDER THREAT OF FINE OR IMPRISONMENT!

TO SUM UP, F@*# YOU, YOU LEFTIST AZZHOLE!!!

A line from a famous poem by W.H. Auden runs: “We must love one another or die.”

Considering the amount of hatred in this piece I will start gathering dandelions for Michael Silverstein grave for he will not be long for this world.

The author writes, “These union people are getting something you don’t have.”

No. The problem is that those union people are demanding that everyone else be taxed at higher and higher levels to pay for something that most of the people being taxed don’t have. If the union workers were earning their living in the free market, nobody would have a problem with it.

Unions love themselves and would love more of the taxpayers money to die from them as well.

What a long, self-absorbed whine this piece is. Fact: the public-service unions, particularly the teachers’ unions and the SEIU, picked a fight over the wrong issue, at the wrong time, and have used the wrong means to persuade the majority of potential voters of any plausibility for their cause.

Now that they have tried to involve the national Democrat party apparatus, and find out the well has run dry (for them), they have managed to endanger the chances of even The Won himself.

Kind of like kicking the hornets’ nest - you better have a good route of retreat, and plenty of stamina to stay ahead of the swarm.

“The Moderate Voice” is a falsehood as are the claims made in this story.

“The Moderate Voice” is pretty much an ultra-leftwing rag.

Another leftie evading the truth.

The title of the Poem referenced is “September 1, 1939. Maybe the hack Silverstein should read the whole thing before citing lines from it.

This idiot thinks he’s moderate?

All far left wing liberals think that they are moderate.

In their world view, the political spectrum from left to right consists of (1) communists, (2) moderates, (3) conservatives, (4) right wing conservatives, (5) far right wing conservatives, (5) far right wing reactionary Dittohead conservatives, etc.

Paid for by the tax monies of hard working non-Union members. these are public Unions we are talking about, not private company Unions. The reason that most of us no longer enjoy the prosperity we used to is that Unions are one of the reasons so many jobs relocated to other countries. Democrats are the main reason we no longer enjoy a standard of living comparable to public Union members, paid for by the expense of others. Why should we pay for them to enjoy a higher standard of living than we have?

BTW, there is no such thing as collective bargaining when it comes to public Unions, the management and the Union leaders are all part of the government, which takes the "bargaining" right out of collective bargaining. It amounts to extortion.

I’ve seen mean and I’ve seen Union and union member tactics ever since Walker was elected, tactics and strategy that are perfect examples of mean.

I’m a retired Californian with limited income but I contributed 3 different times to Walker as a direct result of Union extortion tactics, in your face type verbal assaults, intimidation, dishonesty and being downright mean. If ever there was proof of a need to break unions, Wisconsin public unions fits the bill.

Whenever I see someone starting bring up the “better angels of our nature” phrase, you know it’s some big liberal whining about Republicans and how they should back off.

So now the Libs are *against* class warfare?
