Its capabilities are impressive, but I’m surprised at the relative slow speed of this class. Are they not expected to operate with the rest of the fleet?

America-class amphibious assault ship:

Length = 844 feet
Beam = 106 feet
French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle:
Displacement = 42,000 tons
Length = 858 feet
