I'm puzzled as to why you felt compelled to change "no one" to "nobody"?
My thesaurus suggests that they're quite equivalent:
no one
pronoun
no one shed a tear when he was fired: nobody, not a soul, not anyone, not a single person, never a one, none.
Seems to me that the choice should be left to personal preference.
