House Speaker John Boehner reportedly pushed President Barack Obama on Wednesday to make Attorney General Eric Holder comply with the congressional subpoena of Operation Fast and Furious documents.
Boehner was meeting for lunch with the president and “other congressional leaders” to discuss upcoming issues. An aide in Boehner’s office told The Daily Caller the president talked about his “to-do-list” and the group discussed several other major topics on the political horizon.
The Boehner aide said one topic the Speaker brought up was Holder’s failure to comply with the Fast and Furious subpoena. “The Speaker also asked the President to encourage the Attorney General to provide the information Congressional investigators have sought about the Fast and Furious operation,” the Boehner aide said in an email.
It’s unclear what, if anything, Obama said in response. The White House did not immediately respond when asked.
Holder has failed to comply with House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa’s Oct. 12, 2011, subpoena of him on Fast and Furious. Holder has thus far failed to comply with all 22 categories of the subpoena that requires him to provide Congress with documents relating to Fast and Furious. On 13 of the categories, Holder has provided no documents. On the other nine subpoena categories, Holder is still far from compliant.
Issa is planning to move forward with contempt of Congress proceedings against Holder if he continues failing to comply. The Department of Justice claims the contempt proceedings are “unwarranted.” (RELATED: Full coverage of Operation Fast and Furious)
Last week, Boehner publicly threw his full support behind Issa’s push to enforce the subpoena.
“I’m supporting their efforts to hold those people in the Department of Justice accountable for what happened,” Boehner said then. “The committee has work to do; they know what they have to do. They’re pursuing a lot of unanswered questions. And I would hope that they would continue that.”
“All options are on the table,” Boehner added during that press conference.
In his account of the lunch meeting between Obama, Boehner and other congressional leaders, White House spokesman Jay Carney did not mention that Boehner brought up Fast and Furious.
The White House has avoided talking about the scandal and would not comment when President Obama signed the Brian A. Terry Memorial Act into law on Tuesday. Terry was the Border Patrol agent who was killed with Fast and Furious weapons that fell into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
Boehner’s aide also said the Speaker was “was very pleased with the sandwiches served” at the lunch.

Does anyone have a link to all of the requested documents? If so, I will file a FOIA request. If denied, I will file a suit in the Western District of Oklahoma to enforce. Any costs and fees that are recovered (as well as any documents) will be given to freerepublic.com.

Both Obama and Holder belong behind bars for “Fast and Furious”
This was a leftist program designed to arm a 5th column of cartel criminals and “revolutionistas”; who will do their worst whenever Obama calls then out.This is the fascist way, to destabilize Arizona and any red state that has traditionally voted against the left, and voted to preserve the Constitution and individual freedoms.
At the same time it was done to create the untruthful, lying propaganda that cartels were arming themselves in the USA, when in fact, as NRA research has shown, most of the cartel arms were obtained from Mexico’s military arsenals in their own country. Automatic weapons cannot be bought across the counter in the USA.
“Fast and Furious” constitutes an act of war against Mexico, and the United Nations should receive a complaint from the State of Arizona about it, sticking the whole thing as far up Obama’s leftist rectal cavity as far as it can go.
It’s no wonder Holder is not answering the Congressional Subpoena. It will show exactly what has been described in this post.Congress should throw the book at both Obama and Holder, just as the Dem controlled Congress did with the “arms for oil” situation during the Reagan administration , when the left prohibited arming or training guerilla forces in South America who were fighting the communist movements there. Just run that by Oliver North.
We need a far more aggressive pursuit of Obama and Holder, who are laughing in their beer at the Congressional weaklings who “confront” them.

Fast and Furious is just a modern version of Hitler’s Reichstag fire and Gleiwitz incident.
The Gleiwitz incident was a ruse to make it look like Poland attacked Germany first. The Germans put dead camp victims in uniforms to make it look like a real battle took place.

Word was out last month that Boehner was stalling Issa. Of course,when the MSM got ahold of the story, Boehner came out and emphatically denied it....which means he was lying.
Boehner’s game is to lay low, and keep power. He eschews controversy, and any sort of confrontation.
If the legislature is so intent on conceding everything to the executive, I wish they’d just drop all the pretense, and give Obama a crown.

Nothing is going to change. These 2 (R)s can yelp all day but that's as far as anything will go. This is America (oops) I mean a Banana Republic.
IMHO, I think the House is on schedule to impeach Holder before the August recess, and hits the Senate with the removal trial in the fall campaign. There's plenty of time.
