So, can we actually have a thread about a murdered talk show host in a civil manner?
Hoping for that, yes.
Good luck with that.
I apparently missed freeper controversy about this yesterday. Was she a conservative? Was she enjoyed by freepers? Was she caustic, with lots of enemies? What had she been doing that might have proved motive for her enemies? Anyone know?
A different story from the same source tells something about her.
She was married....9 times out of 10 that’s all the motive that’s necessary.
My initial reaction was moose limbs on the loose.
Thanks! So she was a PRO VETERAN! A supporter of America’s backbone and being recognized for it. Jealous of time spent giving the honor and protection to those who deserve it? We’ll see who hated this patriot so much.
Former radio host and activist April Kauffman a woman known throughout the region as a tireless advocate for veterans was at the high point of her life.
Earlier this month [she] had been chosen from a crowd of 1,400 nominees for a governors award for community service. And she had finally seen progress on her campaign to ensure that veterans would be able to seek medical care locally rather than traveling to a VA in Wilmington, Del.

She sounds like a great person from these posts. Do you think this murder was a personal thing?
She had catering and salon businesses? Could be a simple as she refused to pay the weekly vig. Isn’t multiple gunshot murder a mob style? Or maybe a jealous lover? Sadly that’s usually what it is. Love or money.
I have no idea. The video link at post #9 provides analysis from a former police officer who thinks so.
Can’t be — they’re a peaceful bunch. Ask any congresscritter.
Good job starting a new thread to cover this w/o the previous internecine CF.
I was wondering the same thing. I couldn’t find a thread about her death on FR and was curious if any Freepers knew anything about her.
Thank you! What a godsend she was to veterans. Kindly makes me feel lazy. What a great woman and I’m glad she is being honored this way.
Thank you for posting this thread.
My heartfelt condolences to all of those who cared about April.
May justice be done.
