I received a couple of pop-up messages..one told me I needed to load a new Adobe flash something, the other claimed I needed to update something to do with Microsoft. I hit “cancel” on both. I’ve visited four different sites: three gave me a message that I need to update my flash thingy.

I wonder if that’s the problem, but I’m clueless about this kind of thing.

I get those Adobe Flash Player update notices all the time, and I always do the updates because a lot of sites keep up with the latest version and do not work properly if you’re using an older version.

Same with the Microsoft updates. They’re usually to fix some security breach or other, and I always allow them.

But Joe is right. Clear the cache and reboot. If you have a laptop, you might try a cold reboot by shutting down and removing the battery for two minutes or so. Then reboot. That used to solve a lot of pesky problems on my old laptop - the one that got fried last summer.

Best wishes getting this straightened out soon.
