Dogs were (and still are) eaten by several ethnicities in Indonesia, notably the Bataks and Manadonese who are predominantly Christians. It's not uncommon that their Muslim friends shared meals and sometimes alcoholic drinks together. Note that I'm referring to late 1960s and early 1970s, not today's Indonesia.
Otoh, I do harbor skepticism of Obama’s little vignette. This is because he's such a complete and total pathological liar. I.e.: the very fact that a liar on this order of magnitude says something happened is sufficient grounds to doubt it. If you've never known a raging, extreme uber-Malignant Narcissist, then you have no idea the degree to which they lie. The disorder is such that you could literally say of Obama, ‘He lies, therefore he is’.
Iow, his entire being, history and identity is a lie. Nothing he thinks or says about himself is true. It's all an elaborate fantasy that he first began to weave at a very, very young age [probably when he was around 5]. The fantasy becomes more far fetched and detached from reality w every year he lives. By this point in time, Obama has no grounding in reality whatsoever—not even a shred. He believes his own lies, and hasn't the vaguest clue that they are antipodal to the truth.
Everything in Dreams that can be fact-checked has been found to be false. That leaves only items that can't be checked because the relevant records have been sealed, hidden or destroyed, or because it's a case where all you have is Obama’s word for it. But again, the very fact that he claims it's true is grounds for doubt. This is a very, very sick man. Only after decades of purposeful dumbing down would Americans have elected a man w zero accomplishments and a Personality Disorder this severe. He's a moonbat dream come true—but a nightmare to the rest of us.
