“The past two days are the first time that Romney has reached 50% against Obama since Rasmussen started polling the general election. IMHO, it’s not because of what Romney’s doing.”

I tend to guess that it’s because it’s become the consensus that Romney is the nominee. So, people being polled are having to decide, which one will I vote for. It’s between two men now (effectively - I know there are third party candidates).

They are breaking for Romney.

It’s been the consensus Romney was the nominee for awhile.

If the trend the last couple of days holds up and starts seeping into other polls then the likely culprit would have to be considered backlash to the gay marriage endorsement.

There are some liberal/libertarians that want to believe and are pushing propaganda gay marriage is a “winning’ issue but they are incorrect. Romney is still a weak candidate but there are people who have been resistant to him that may soften over this. I’m not going to be one of them. He’s a fraud. I am voting for nobody this election. Sticking to the issues up for a vote and that is it since I have no Scott Walker worth championing here.
