And the reality is that most of us are going to do the same. The shift in the work place will be made due to those who are still working into their golden years but no longer require medical benefits because the Govmint is providing Medicare.

I guess that makes two of us-count this boomer in. I’m a construction sub, broke and juggling bills most of the time thanks to this recession. Work is hard to find, pays less than ever, the price of gas is a bummer, but I remember the hard four Carter years, when my husband and I had a small child and he got laid off-we survived in spite of it all-this is just a re-visit of that, except I’m older, my husband is gone, and my kid is grown.
It will get better when we get rid of Obama, just like it did after Carter went away. Quitting is not in my family’s vocabulary-work is good for body and soul so keep the nails...
Nobody is stealing jobs from anyone else-older people like us are just far more willing to work and do without luxuries.
I’m 62, currently unemployed. Waiting on two possible job offers. I’m with you. I will work til i can’t work anymore.
